By using this site you accept the terms below. If you do not accept them, please do not use it.
No care relationship
This site provides general information for educational purposes. It creates no patient–provider relationship between you and the Love Your Heart Project, its directors, its volunteers or its collaborators. The foundation performs no medical acts, books no appointments and holds no medical records. Always consult a qualified health professional for any decision about your own health. See also our medical disclaimer.
Emergencies
Never use this site or its form to report an emergency. In an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
Information you send us
Do not send us personal health information. Messages sent through the form are not end-to-end encrypted and are not monitored continuously; we cannot guarantee a response time.
Our materials and reusing them
The content of this site belongs to the Love Your Heart Project. Pharmacies, clinics, hospitals and community organizations may print, display and distribute our pamphlets and patient materials free of charge and without asking us first, on three conditions: change nothing, keep the foundation’s name and logo, and do not use them for commercial or promotional purposes. Any other reproduction requires our written permission.
External links
We sometimes link to third-party sites, such as public bodies or professional societies, for the reader’s convenience. We do not control their content and do not endorse it.
Accuracy and limits of liability
We take care that the information published here is accurate and consistent with current guidelines, but medicine changes and we do not warrant that the content is complete or up to date. To the extent permitted by law, the Love Your Heart Project and its directors accept no liability for decisions taken on the basis of this site alone.
Note for health professionals
Content aimed at clinicians is educational. Clinical decisions remain the responsibility of the treating provider.
Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and Canada. Residents of Quebec keep the rights Quebec law gives them. We may amend these terms; the date at the top of the page identifies the current version.
