Independent by design
The Love Your Heart Project is governed by its own board of directors. Clinical protocols, educational content and public messaging are owned by the foundation’s medical director and board. No funder has approval, veto or editorial rights over what we teach or whom we serve, and every sponsorship agreement includes a written firewall to that effect.
Legal status. Love Your Heart Project (J’aime mon cœur) is a not-for-profit corporation incorporated on August 21, 2026 under the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act. Corporation number: 1818547-6. Canada Revenue Agency Business Number: 791721442.
Funding
Phase 1 of our work — the 2026–2027 pharmacist education series — is funded by an unrestricted educational grant from Edwards Lifesciences Canada. Edwards has no role in, and no editorial control over, the project’s clinical protocols, educational content or governance. No sponsor names or logos appear on any patient-facing material.
We are actively seeking additional funders — public grants, hospital foundations, community organizations and individual donors — to reduce reliance on any single funder over time.
Clinical partners are not sponsors
Hospitals and clinics that receive people identified through the program are clinical partners. They do not fund the foundation, and the foundation does not fund them.
Transparency
We will publish on this page: a register of all sponsorships, grants and in-kind contributions; a plain-language annual report; and audited financial statements.
